CBSE DATE SHEET FOR CLASS 10 AND 12 – ACCURATE

CBSE Students had been eagerly waiting for date sheet of final exams of Classes 10^th and 12^th. At last, CBSE ended their wait on 20.11.2024 and released tentative date sheet for 2024-25 session. The exams for these classes will commence on February 15,2025 and end on April 04, 2025.

CBSE DIRECTIVES FOR EXAM

CBSE has given some directives regarding exams as below:

1. Exams will start on 10:30 in the morning.

2. Sufficient Gap has been given in between two subjects which are generally opted by the students.

3. CBSE has tried its best to complete the board examination of 12^th class well before the various entrance exams for higher studies. This is done in order to give sufficient time to students to prepare for both the board exams and the entrance exams.

4. The date sheets have been prepared by avoiding nearly 40,000 subject combinations to ensure that exams for no two subjects fall upon the same date.

5. Teachers, who have been given duty of copy checking after final exams, will not have to stay away from school for a long period.

AN EARLY ANNOUNCEMENT

This year, CBSE has announced final exam date sheet 86 days prior to the actual exam. It is also 23 days in advance as compared to announcement of date sheet for the previous session of 2023-24. As per CBSE, this was possible due to timely submission of List of Candidates (LOC) by the respective schools. Release of date sheet in advance for such a longer period will definitely help students and other concerned in following ways:

Students: They will have sufficient time to prepare for the exam and improve their performance. They can also overcome anxiety by giving more mock tests and periodic tests.

Parents: Families of students can plan for summer vacations well in advance keeping in mind the schedule of exams of their children.

Teachers: Many teachers from a single school are generally engaged in evolution duty. Such duties for a longer period hamper the study of non-board classes. This time, CBSE has assured that most of the teachers will not stay away from school for longer period due to evolution duties.

Schools: School fixed as examination centers will have sufficient time for planning examination related activities.

DATE SHEET FOR CLASS 10

Class 10 exams will start from February 15 and end on March 18, 2025. First paper is of English while the last paper is of Artificial Intelligence. Following is the date sheet of exams of main subjects:

The date sheet seems very balanced that takes care of students for preparation of difficult subjects. We can see that the first paper is of English. Students always prepare very hard for the 1^st paper. So, it is beneficial for them to have English as their first paper. After that, exam of Science will be conducted. It has 4 days gap from the paper of English. So, students will have enough time to revise for the paper. Another difficult subject, Mathematics has 9 days’ gap from the paper Hindi. As such, students will get sufficient time for preparing well for this subject.

DATE SHEET FOR CLASS 12

In CBSE, there are three subject streams in Class 12. These are Humanities(Arts), Commerce and Science. First paper is of Entrepreneurship on 15.02.2024 and the last paper is of Psychology on 04.04.2024.

CLASS 12- DATE SHEET FOR ARTS (HUMANITIES)

Humanities or popularly called Arts is considered relatively easy stream than Science and Commerce. However, some subjects like English and Economics are really tough subjects. Date Sheet for Humanities is as below:

One of the toughest paper, English has nearly 14 days from other main paper Geography. Students have enough time to prepare for this paper. The other tough subject, Economics, has 03 days’ gap from the mandatory paper of Hindi. Moreover, this time students of Economics with Painting have no gap. So, they have to prepare well in advance for this paper before the commencement of exam on 15.02.2025. They need to thoroughly revise their subject in January 2025 itself.

CLASS 12- DATE SHEET FOR SCIENCE STREAM

Science Stream is very popular with CBSE students. Generally, students with high percentage in class 10 take Science in 11^th Class. Science Students need to work very hard to understand the concepts in detailed form. They need to put their best effort to get good marks in science subjects. Among science subjects, Physics is considered most difficult subject. There is sub-categorisation in Science Stream into Medical and Non- Medical. Those who opt for Medical, they need to take Biology and can leave Mathematics. On the other hand, students opting for Non-Medical can take Mathematics instead of Biology. Date Sheet for Science Stream is as below:

It is very good that papers of main science subjects are held earlier than language subjects. Better thing is that Physics, the most difficult paper, will be conducted first so that students can focus more on this subject before the commencement of exam. Biology paper will be held last on 25.03.2025 and has 9 days gap after Hindi paper.  Overall, date sheet for science is balanced having enough gaps between two subjects.

CLASS 12-DATE SHEET FOR COMMERCE STREAM

Commerce Stream is popular among students who wants to pursue a career in financial sector.  In Commerce, Accountancy holds the position which Physics has in Science Stream and Economics has in Humanities. Date Sheet for Commerce Stream is as below:

Date sheet for commerce students is also balanced. Main subjects like Business studies, Mathematics, Economics and Accountancy have sufficient gaps for preparation. The most important subject, Accountancy has 6 days gap from the Economics Paper.  Commerce Students need to keenly observe the economic activities going on around them. Moreover, understanding the basic concepts of the subjects like Accountancy will certainly help them to get maximum marks.

CONCLUSION

In the end, it can be said that CBSE has taken immense care to prepare the date sheet. Important subjects in every stream have enough gaps for revision, except for Economics. Previously, this paper would have more than a week gap. This time, however, gap does not exist for students with Painting. Moreover, it has only 3 days gap from the Hindi Paper. Hopefully, students will prepare in advance for such subjects and get goods marks.
