CBSE DATE SHEET 2024 FOR 10th AND 12th

lINTRODUCTION

CBSE released date sheet for 10th and 12th classes well in advance in December 2023 itself. The date sheets were later revised in January, 2024.

CBSE DIRECTIVES FOR EXAM

CBSE has given some directives regarding exams as below:

1. Sufficient Gap has been given in between two subjects which are generally opted by the students.
2. Competitive Examinations including JEE Mains have been taken care of while preparing the date sheets.
3. The date sheets have been prepared to avoid nearly 40,000 subject combinations so that exam for no two subjects fall upon the same date.
4. Time of the start of the examination will be 10:30 AM.

CLASS 12-HUMANITIES STREAM

Humanities or popularly called Arts is considered relatively easy stream than Science and Commerce. However, some subjects like English and Economics are really tough subjects. Exam of English has only 2 days gap from Exam of Hindi. So, students need to prepare themselves well in advance. Economics Exam has 17 days gap from Exam of Geography and 11 days gap from the Exam of Painting. So, students have an advantage here. They can thoroughly revise the subject and get maximum marks. They need to focus on concepts of the subject and should have ability to relate real life problems to these concepts.

CLASS 12- SCIENCE STREAM

Science Stream is very popular stream in CBSE Board. Generally, the students who are bright in study or have interest in science subjects opt for this stream. Students of Sciences have to work hard to understand the concepts which more detailed than the earlier classes. They need to put their best effort to get good marks in science subjects. Among science subjects, Physics is considered most difficult subject. It has only 5 days gap from the mandatory Chemistry exam. However, students of Medical Side (Biology Students) have an advantage as they will have 14 days gap between Physics and Biology. The last main Exam is of Computer Science which have enough days in between for preparation. So, the students need to make most of the time they get between their exams.

CLASS 12-COMMERCE STREAM

Commerce Stream is popular among those students who wants to go to financial sector institution such as bank. Moreover, business minded students also opt for this stream. In Commerce, Accountancy holds the position which Physics has in Science Stream and Economics has in Humanities. It has only 4 days gap from Exam of Economics. Students of Commerce need to keenly observe the economic activities going on around them. Moreover, understanding the basic concepts of the subject will certainly help them get maximum marks.

DATE SHEET FOR COMMERCE STREAM-MAIN SUBJECTS

CLASS 10

Class 10 is the class after which students opt for different streams. So, students needs to focus on the subjects which they are likely to take in 11th Class. However, they cannot ignore other subjects as they will also contribute in their overall mark percentage. In some school, students getting highest marks are allotted Science Stream and students with lowest marks are given Humanities. Moreover, high marks in 10th standard will show their area of interest irrespective of stream they opt after this class.
